Rule-based Aggregation and Mixed Reality Fabrication

This project was a test scenario to introduce students to mixed  reality fabrication. The computational design was developed in Rhino, Grasshopper and Wasp to give students a chance to explore rule-based design and aggregation. Students were instructed to design a form of 20 wooden blocks and compare their construction time using mixed reality and traditional construction methods. The workshop concluded with an aggregated design structure with 112 wooden components.

For each block, there are five possible unique combinations for the aggregation to occur
