Hi,
I am Avishek. I have born and brought up in India and have been trained as an architect. As an architect with an affliction towards technology, I deal with human-technology relationships. This entails incorporating robotic fabrication, augmented and virtual reality and computer vision-based solutions in an architectural design workflow. Presently I am a PhD fellow at Aalborg Universitet, Denmark, working on virtual reality and architectural workflow.
Having been brought up in an artist’s(my father's) house has allowed me to shape my aesthetic sensibility in art and photography. My affliction with technology follows me here but in a different direction. I find myself drawn to fully mechanical cameras and analogue photographic processes. In my works, I often tread between photography and fine art; mixing the methods, materials or techniques. I find the abstraction of reality through films and painting exhilarating, thus often merging them in a single frame; a part of the natural world and a part of my world.

Presently, I live in Aalborg, Denmark with my wife and two tortoises and we run And Analog, our collaborative art & photographic studio.
