A Visual Analysis Framework for Architect-Robot Interaction
2019 | Aalborg University | Workshop Tutor
This research explores transitioning robotic processes in architecture from deterministic fabrication to explorative design. Focused on cocreation between architect and robot, the study utilizes a collaborative robotic arm with an electric gripper and webcam. Through a case-based experiment designing an adjustable wood lamella facade, interactive processes enable co-creation. Emphasis is on integrating visual analysis in Grasshopper and establishing a symbiotic relationship between designer and robotic system. The research aims to demonstrate the potential of interactive robotic-based design processes, paving the way for more flexible and innovative architectural fabrication.
